The Tomales Bay Watershed Council has been working over 2013-14 with the high-resolution LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data from a collaborative project through SFSU and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.  The efforts of a dedicated and talented volunteer, Joel Grapentine, and a generous grant from ESRI (the makers of ArcGIS software) are resulting in refined watershed boundaries, a comprehensive stream network and a powerful tool to analyze hydrology, water quality and watershed characterization of the entire Tomales Bay Watershed.
